Spain's first company in liquid by-product valorisation
We are a company based in Agramunt (Lleida) dedicated to the valorisation of food by-products unfit for human consumption, transforming them into raw materials for animal feed (biscuit meal, milk meal, yoghurt meal and casein meal).
We have a processing capacity of 150,000 tonnes per year. The by-products received may be liquid (ice cream, yoghurt, milk, juices...) or solid (flours, biscuits, pastries, bakery products, pasta...) which are transformed into raw materials for animal feed.
In the transformation process we utilise 92.70% of the incoming product and only the remaining 7.30% is sent to other authorised managers.
Our extensive market experience makes us the first company in Spain dedicated to the management of food by-products and the valorisation of liquid by-products. Our main suppliers are large companies in human food manufacturing that generate surpluses during the production process.

COPIRAL S.L. was founded in 1995, when we began covering the environmental needs of a leading yoghurt producer, starting with the collection of their expired and/or factory-rejected by-products.

At COPIRAL S.L. we not only offer the service of receiving by-products unfit for human consumption, but we also collaborate with our suppliers to implement new solutions tailored to the problems they may have in managing by-products.
The SUPPLIER – COPIRAL collaboration enables greater logistical coordination for the removal of by-products from the market, as well as improved selection and management to reduce volumes sent to landfill.
This directly impacts cost reduction, meeting the requirements for food waste reduction set out in the Energy Transition Law.
Our technical and logistics department can liaise directly with suppliers' quality departments to manage generated by-products in the best possible way.
